Work out 24/7 at Sunshine Leisure Centre

Mayor of Brimbank, Cr Lucinda Congreve

said Council was excited to offer leisure centre members access to the health club and virtual group fitness classes at Sunshine Leisure Centre at any time convenient to them.

“This is all about making it easier for people to get active.

“We don’t all work nine to five and we can’t all fit our exercise in during regular business hours – nor should we have to.

“By opening the health club making virtual fitness classes available at Sunshine Leisure Centre to members 24/7 we’re making it easier to fit in a workout whenever it suits them,” Cr Congreve said.

A members-only after-hours entrance will be available from 1 October 2019 to members who have requested after-hours access and completed the necessary orientation.

Added security measures by way of duress buttons throughout the facility, as well as personal duress lanyards, will be in place for those using the health club outside of staffed hours.

There will be no access to the leisure centre foyer, pool hall and downstairs change rooms outside of staffed hours.

Sunshine Leisure Centre has been undergoing a range of improvements to offer a better experience for members and visitors using the centre.

Most recently a new café has been introduced at reception, alongside new flooring in the foyer, more seating and a dedicated merchandise area.

The indoor leisure pool and spa have undergone essential maintenance works, and the indoor change rooms have been renovated.

Year-round swimming in the outdoor pool and RPM classes have been introduced.
