Work is underway to replace a culvert that crosses Tinonee Road about 30 metres west of the Alpine Drive intersection.
The work will be carried out under traffic controllers and lights and will reduce traffic to a single lane.
Motorists are asked to drive with caution in the area and to obey the controllers and signage on both Tinonee Road and Alpine Drive.
Work is expected to be complete by mid December, weather permitting.
Residents are also reminded to keep an eye out for koala activity in the area and to report any sightings here www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/report-koala
