A worker has died after being struck by a falling steel beam at Point Cook on Tuesday.
It’s believed the beam fell on the 35-year-old man after it was hit by a roof truss being unloaded at the residential construction site about 12:20pm.
WorkSafe is investigating.
The fatality brings the number of workplace deaths this year to nine, which is three more than at the same time last year.
