Wounding charges in Birkdale, QLD

Detectives have charged a 30-year-old man following an alleged altercation in a Birkdale home yesterday (October 8).

Police will allege at around 9.30pm an altercation broke out at a Kensington Place unit between two neighbours, a 32-year-old man and the 30-year-old man.

Police found the 32-year-old man with wounds to his head and back.

A 30-year-old man who resided at the address was apprehended by police a short time later in and has subsequently charged with wounding and assault causing grievous bodily harm.

He is scheduled to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on November 9.

A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.
