Wounding chargesin Brisbane City

Two teenage boys have been charged after a man was allegedly assaulted in Brisbane City overnight.

It will be alleged about 10.30pm the 45-year-old Kingston man was standing in the Queen Street Mall when he was approached by a group of male teenagers.

One of the teenagers stabbed the man with a box cutter knife in the left arm and back. The man fell to the ground and was kicked and punched by one of the other boys.

The victim attended the Adelaide Street Police Beat to report the assault and police located the youths a short time later at the top of the mall.

A 15-year-old Slacks Creek boy and a 17-year-old Springwood boy have both been charged with one count of acts intended to maim and will appear in the Brisbane Children’s Court on April 12.
