Moira Shire is proud to announce the completion of the highly anticipated Yarrawonga Splash Park.

The opening marks an exciting milestone for the community, offering a free and accessible water play space for all to enjoy. Moira Shire invites residents and visitors to come and experience the new park and make fun and lasting summer memories for years to come.

Replacing the old water slide, the expanded Yarrawonga Splash Park is now three times larger, offering an extensive water play area featuring over 20 interactive water equipment pieces.

Operating from November to April, the Splash Park will be open daily from 9am to 9pm, with the possibility of extending these hours based on demand. Activating the water features is as simple as touching the centre pad of the bollard activators, located on both sides of the Splash Park. Once activated, the water will run for a 15-minute session before requiring reactivation.

John Tanner AM, Chair of the Panel of Administrators at Moira Shire Council expressed his excitement for the project.

“It gives me great pleasure to witness the completion of the Yarrawonga Splash Park, a project that shows our commitment to providing great recreational facilities for our community,” Mr. Tanner said.

“This expansion not only enhances the water play space but also promotes inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that everyone can enjoy this fantastic facility.”

Moira Shire Council remains committed to continuously enhancing the Splash Park’s amenities based on community needs. Throughout the summer season, Council will closely monitor the usage and assess the requirement for additional seating, shade structures, and other amenities.
