Funded by the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund, Central Goldfields Shire Council is working with residents to develop 10 year community plans that reflect the uniqueness and priorities of the eight communities and districts of Maryborough, Bealiba, Carisbrook, Dunolly, Talbot, Majorca, Bet Bet and Timor.
Throughout the months of October to December, Council is inviting feedback from the community on what is needed to make their community a great place to live – now and into the future.
Locals can have their say by attending a drop-in session, as well as by completing an online survey. Council would like to hear from everyone, to understand how people feel about their community now and how they might see their community in 10 years.
Central Goldfields Shire Chief Administrator Noel Harvey said this is a fantastic opportunity for residents.
“You can be involved in as many of the community consultation activities as you like. If you have ideas and feedback to help improve your community – both now and in the longer term, I encourage you to have your say and contribute to these important plans for your community’s future.”
