A 13-year-old youth will be proceeded against in relation to the fire at Cotton On in Launceston on Wednesday night.
As part of the police investigation, two youths were identified in relation to the fire on St John Street.
One of the youths will be proceeded against under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act with a charge of unlawfully setting fire to property.
The other youth was not charged.
Police would like to thank nearby businesses and Launceston City Council for their assistance, particularly for access to CCTV footage which was crucial to the investigation.
