Youths arrested over disturbance in Port Lincoln, South Australia

Police are investigating a disturbance at Port Lincoln last night.

About 6.30pm on Saturday 5 October, police were called to a restaurant on Liverpool Street after receiving reports a group of youths were damaging property and had assaulted two staff members. Injuries to the staff were minor and didn’t require medical treatment.

Police located the group in the restaurant and arrested two girls. Two boys ran off when police arrived but were located a short time later and arrested.

A 10-year-old boy, an 11-year-old boy, a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl, all from Port Lincoln, were charged with aggravated assault, property damage and violent disorder.

The two boys were given bail to appear in the Port Lincoln Youth Court on 18 November. The two girls were refused bail and will appear in court on Tuesday.
