2003 hit and run crash at Bayswater

As a result of recent information received, Major Crash Investigation Unit officers are appealing for information from the public in relation to a serious hit and run traffic crash that occurred in Bayswater on Tuesday, 23 September 2003.

Around 3.20pm a 10-year-old girl, was crossing Whatley Crescent, opposite the Bayswater Train Station carpark, between Hamilton and King William Street.

As she crossed the road, a light coloured sedan travelling west on Whatley Crescent struck her. The car drove off without stopping.

The girl received a broken leg. She has since made a full recovery.
