We have published preliminary insights for the 2024-25 Safeguard Mechanism reporting period. Our report provides an overview of indicative outcomes and market data, including the likely:
- number of facilities likely covered under the Safeguard Mechanism
- total covered emissions of safeguard facilities
- volumes of Safeguard Mechanism Credits (SMCs) to be issued
- indicative excess emissions across safeguard facilities.
These figures are based on initial data and are subject to change. Final data and insights for the 2024-25 compliance period will be published by 15 April 2026.
