The 2026 Orange Sports Awards were held on Wednesday 19 August at Odeon 5 Cinemas.
Orange Mayor Tony Mileto and Cr Graeme Judge presented the awards at a ceremony at Odeon 5 Cinemas.
The awards were presented for sporting achievements made during 2025.
The winner of the 2025 Sportsperson of the Year Award was Dallas George who had a spectacular 2025 achieving national and world championship success in Muay Thai, including earning the title of International Sport Kickboxing Association World Champion.
The award for 2025 Junior Sportsperson of the Year went to April Gardiner, who is rising through the representative ranks in both touch football and Rugby League, including helping guide her NSW touch football team to victory over Queensland at the Australian All Schools Championships.
The 2025 Sporting Team of the Year Award was presented to Kinross Wolaroi School’s Girls Eight rowing team, which has delivered one of the finest rowing seasons in the school’s history, achieving success on state, national and international waters.
The award for Sports Volunteer of the Year was jointly awarded to Cathy Goodlock and Tracee Livingstone, who together have contributed 46 years of service to touch football in Orange.
