31 Territory Events receive new Funding

NT Government

The Territory Labor Government is continuing to invest millions in the Territory’s events sector, with the latest round of the Event Funding Program (EFP) to deliver 31 exciting events across the NT in 2024/2025

The 31 events include eight Aboriginal cultural events, seven sporting events and 16 cultural events.

Those in Darwin and surrounding areas will be treated to 18 events, while six will take place in Central Australia and four across Katherine, Arnhem Land, Roper Gulf Region and Tiwi Islands, and three will tour the NT, ensuring locals and businesses from all regions of the NT benefit from the events.

The full calendar of events for 2024 includes new events such as the internationally recognised Tekken 8 Philippine V Australia Invitational which will broadcast internationally and The Dry Comedy Festival in Katherine. A range of previous events have also expanded such as the Top End Gin Festival with international music sensation Matt Corby to headline.

Through the Territory Labor Governments EFP, Territory events continue to increase in frequency and quality, attracting interstate visitors, bolstering the economy and upskilling the local workforce.

Round 2 of the EFP will open on Friday, 9 February 2024. To be alerted when the next round opens and when information sessions will be held, visit ntmajorevents.com.au/ here and sign up for ‘Industry Updates’.
