TheTerritory Labor Government is continuing to deliver on its electioncommitment to invest in urban lights at sporting ovals with the release ofdesign and construct tenders for Gardens Oval, Bagot Oval and Nightcliff Oval.
Investmentin lights will create jobs for Territorians and allow the sporting codes toprovide more opportunities for junior and female participation.
TheUrban Lights Program aims to increase opportunities for the community toparticipate in sport and help deliver positive outcomes to foster our vibrantcommunities.
Tenders to deliver the project have been released and will close on 23August 2019 with local businesses given preference through a weighted tendersystem.
