Australia’s forest industries welcome the appointment of Carlie Porteous as new General Manager of the Australian Forest Contractors Association (AFCA), Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Forest Products Association (AFPA) Ross Hampton said today.
“Carlie has developed a positive reputation within Australia’s forest industries over the past decade, including serving on the AFPA Board as an Observer over the past couple of years. Forest contractors nationally will be well served by Carlie’s enthusiasm and experience,” Ross Hampton said.
“Carlie Porteous has experience right across forest industries’ value chain from growers to processors and government agencies. This experience will serve her well in challenging times for the forestry harvest and haulage sector.
“On behalf of Australia’s forest industries, I welcome Carlie and look forward to continuing our working relationship, as does the rest of the AFPA team who will continue to work closely with Carlie in her new role at AFCA,” Ross Hampton concluded.
