AgForce hosted a ‘Women in Ag’ event in Ayr recently attended by a diverse cross section of women from the Burdekin region. Representatives from Women in Sugar and Ag, NQ Dry Tropics, QSL, local banks and producers joined AgForce members to listen to a keynote presentation by AgForce General President Georgie Somerset.
Georgie was joined by Independent AgForce Director Christine Hayward; AgForce Vice President and North President/Director Shane McCarthy; AgForce CEO Mike Guerin; AgForce Cane Policy Director Sam Forzisi and AgForce Cane President Russell Hall.
It was a fantastic evening and AgForce North hopes to continue to network with this group to women and encourage other women to join our informal drop ins and meetings in the Ayr Office.
