AICD scholarships for NFP leaders

AICD

This year the AICD is offering another 200 fully-funded scholarships for leaders of small not-for-profit organisations across all states and territories.

Successful applicants undertake the highly regarded Governance Foundations for NFP Directors program between August 2022 and June 2023.

Directors of small NFP organisations (annual income of $2 million or less), or aspiring directors, executives or senior managers of NFP organisations, are encouraged to apply.

AICD CEO and Managing Director, Angus Armour, said scholarships are a key component of the AICD’s mission to build the capability of a community of leaders for the benefit of society.

“I’m proud that the AICD continues to provide scholarships for NFP leaders as part of our commitment to the sector. Since the introduction of the NFP Scholarship Program in 2017, the AICD has supported more than 700 NFP sector leaders to undertake governance education to support their organisations to more effectively achieve their purpose.”

“Good governance has never been more important in the not-for-profit sector as organisations face ever increasing challenges and demand for their services.”

The AICD’s 2021 NFP Governance and Performance Study revealed that for most organisations the financial outlook is relatively positive over the medium-term, but it will take some years to recover the ground lost through COVID-19. Furthermore, not all sub-sectors were experiencing the same challenges that the pandemic was posing on their ability to operate.

In conjunction with our facilitating partner, the Australian Scholarships Foundation, we invite applications for the program from today, up until Sunday,1 May 2022.
