Holloways Beach Coastcare will receive $12,000 in Council support for the planting and care of 1000 trees adjacent to Richter’s Creek off Tamarind Bend at Holloways Beach.
The funding will assist with the purchase, site preparation and planting of about 1000 trees, as well as maintenance for two years.
The tree planting will provide a buffer for existing vegetation and decrease habitat fragmentation, improve riparian and canopy quality, and reduce the need for pest management.
