Sporting associations and providers in the west will come together for a week of inclusive activities for all abilities and ages from Sunday 28 November to 5 December.

The week kicks off with a Regional All Abilities Inclusion Sports Day on Sunday 28 November, 2pm to 3.30pm at the Altona Sports Centre.

People of all abilities and all ages are invited to try a range of sports including tenpin bowling, tennis, cricket, badminton, soccer and fun games.

Local disability service providers, including the Brotherhood of St Laurence will be there to help participants incorporate sport activities into their NDIS plans.

The inclusive sports week is a partnership between Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong, Melton and Wyndham councils, along with local sporting clubs and associations in the western suburbs.

The week celebrates International Day of People with a Disability which is held annually on December 3.

Sporting clubs and associations are proud to offer an inclusive and welcoming environment. All clubs across the participating councils will have the opportunity to participate in a workshop focusing on supporting people with a disability to participate on and off the field.
