All aboard the ‘Reds Express’ with free transport to Adelaide United matches

SA Gov

Under a new partnership between the State Government and Adelaide United, travel will be free on all Adelaide Metro buses, trains, and trams to allow Reds fans to travel to and from Hindmarsh Stadium easily, with a valid match day ticket or a members pass.

Additional tram services will run post-match, while the Royal Adelaide Hospital tram services will extend to the Entertainment Centre stop so fans can travel into the city from across metropolitan Adelaide and use the tram.

To celebrate the club’s 20th year, an Adelaide United Anniversary tram featuring some of the club’s most iconic faces will also be in service until mid-November.

Passengers can visit www.adelaidemetro.com.au to plan their journey.

As put by Tom Koutsantonis

By making all public transport free for those headed to cheer on our beloved Reds at Hindmarsh, we are ensuring everyone has a safe and convenient ride to and from every Adelaide United home game.

Leave the keys at home and let Adelaide Metro do the driving – it’s a free, easy, and convenient trip to Hindmarsh.

In United’s 20th year, we are also excited to have a commemorative tram featuring club legends Isaias, Cassio, Eugene Galekovic, Travis Dodd and Isabel Hodgson in service until mid-November.

As put by Adelaide United Football Club CEO Nathan Kosmina

On behalf of all Adelaide United members and fans, I want to thank the State Government and Minister Koutsantonis for this gesture of support in what is a year of great significance for our club.

Coopers Stadium is undoubtedly the best football venue in the country and thanks to this initiative offering free travel across the Adelaide Metro network, match day will only become more accessible for football fans in South Australia.
