Tamworth’s hard-working paramedics are now saving lives from their state-of-the-art new ambulance station on Piper Street, North Tamworth.

Nationals Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said the station is an outstanding new asset for our paramedics who are now working in a modern, fully equipped, and comfortable environment.

“I particularly want to thank our local paramedics who campaigned hard for this new facility and provided important input into its design.

“Their hard work has delivered the facility our city needs and will continue to rely on for generations to come.

“The station is built for growth and has the capability to handle more staff and I’ll be pushing for those extra numbers.”

Construction on the new ambulance station, delivered by Mr Anderson, began in 2022 and was completed in August 2023.

The new station was officially opened by Mr Anderson, Minister Ryan Park, NSW Ambulance Chief Executive Dr Dominic Morgan, officials from all branches of emergency services, and students from Tamworth Public School.

The new station includes internal parking for up to 12 emergency ambulance vehicles, external parking for ambulance relief and specialist vehicles, staff rest facilities, administration and office areas, logistics and storage areas, an internal wash bay and a Medic Fit gym.
