ANMF Pays Tribute To Marea Vidovich

The membership of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) is today mourning the death of our former Assistant Federal Secretary Marea Vidovich.

Marea served in a range of senior industrial and elected positions throughout her long-career with the then Australian Nursing Federation (ANF) in our Federal Office and in our Western Australian (WA) branch.

Long-regarded by her colleagues as a ‘super nurse’ for her dedication and commitment to the industrial campaigns she fought on behalf of our members, Marea was a Professional Officer in the Federal Office, before being elected to the position of Assistant Federal Secretary.

Marea also served as the ANF’s Acting Federal Secretary and as a Nursing Research and Development Officer in our WA branch.

Today, the ANMF honours Marea’s tireless contribution to the nursing and midwifery workforce.

Her achievements throughout her long, distinguished career improved the working lives of so many nurses, midwives and care workers across the country.

We thank Marea for her passionate advocacy on behalf of our members.

The ANMF expresses our sincere condolences to Marea’s family, friends and former colleagues on this sad day for us all.

VALE Marea Vidovich.

The ANMF, with over 310,000 members, is the industrial and professional voice for nurses, midwives and carers in Australia.
