Anula Primary School has been recognised on the international stage for its innovation, leadership and educational excellence, being bestowed with an Apple Distinguished School Award for 2024-2029.

For a school with under 450 students, Anula Primary School’s global achievement is nothing short of remarkable.

This is the second time the school has taken out the Apple award, placing them in the spotlight alongside some of the most inspiring and progressive schools in the world.

Schools from around the world apply for the Award and are selected based on their commitment to continuous innovation in education and their use of Apple products to inspire, reimagine, and impact teaching and learning.

Apple Distinguished Schools are acknowledged centres of leadership and educational excellence, with a clear vision for how technology-rich environments support learning goals.

Anula Primary School joins a world-wide network of standout public and private schools recognised as centres of leadership and educational excellence, including Lewis Elementary School in the United States, The Gardens School in New Zealand and Istituto Comprensivo Statale G. Ungaretti in Italy.

These schools and many others around the world use iPads and Mac to transform learning. Teachers incorporate this technology into their lessons, empowering students to lead, learn, discover new opportunities, and to make their world a better place.

Anula Primary School Assistant Principal Brian Hyke said he is incredibly proud of students and teachers who have led digital innovation at the school.

“Being recognised by Apple as a ‘Distinguished School’ positions Anula as one of the most innovative schools in the world,” he said.

“The award is a testament to our school’s ongoing dedication to providing students with the skills and tools they need for success in an increasingly digital world.”
