ANZ announces Saturday trading at 27 branches nationwide

ANZ Bank

ANZ today announced it will extend Saturday trading to 27 branches across Australia, improving access to in-person banking for customers.

From 27 June 2026, select ANZ branches in high-demand locations including Chadstone Shopping Centre (VIC), Indooroopilly Shopping Centre (QLD), and Bankstown Central Shopping Centre (NSW) will open on Saturdays, giving customers greater flexibility to bank at a time that suits them.

The move reflects ANZ’s continued focus to raise the standard of every interaction for its customers, and place customers at the centre of every decision as part of its 2030 Strategy.

ANZ Group Executive Australia Retail, Pedro Rodeia, says the bank recognises that customers value flexibility and choice.

“For many customers, including young professionals, families and small businesses owners, having a local branch open on a Saturday makes a big difference. This is about making banking fit around our customers’ lives – not the other way around.

“By opening more branches on Saturdays, we’re giving customers more time to talk to us in person about what really matters to them, without the pressure of squeezing it into a busy weekday. This extension will make it easier for customers to visit a branch, sit down with our specialist teams, and make important financial decisions at a time that better suits them,” concluded Mr Rodeia.

Branches open on Saturdays will offer a range of services including home loans, relationship banking and specialist support.

Over the counter services including deposits and withdrawals will not be available on Saturdays. ANZ staff will be available to assist customers in using Smart ATMs for everyday transactions such as deposits and withdrawals.

The expansion reflects the evolving role of branches as ANZ continues to invest in modern, flexible spaces that combine expert support with easy-to-use self-service technology.

Today’s announcement of Saturday trading builds on a broader program of enhancements to ANZ’s branch network, including refurbishments to modernise and improve customer environments, the installation of 200 new ATMs by the end of this year, and significant investment in face-to-face services across Queensland and New South Wales.
