Appeal after four injured in Western Sydney crash

Police are appealing for information after four people were injured in a three-car crash in Sydney’s west last week.

About 5.30pm on Wednesday 20 May 2020, emergency services were called to the intersection of Smithfield and Beavors Roads, Prairiewood, after a collision between a Ford Raptor, Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Iload.

The Ford driver, a 17-year-old boy, was uninjured while two male passengers, aged 17 and 18, suffered internal injuries. The younger boy was also treated for suspected neck fractures.

The Toyota driver, a 19-year-old woman, and the Hyundai driver, a 29-year-old man, both suffered arm fractures.

All three drivers have undergone mandatory testing.

Officers from Fairfield Police Area Command established a crime scene, with officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As inquiries continue, investigators are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed or have dashcam footage of the crash to contact Crime Stoppers.
