Police are appealing for information after a man was shot in Rhodes this evening.
Emergency services were called to Walker Street about 6.30pm (Monday 27 June 2022) where they found a man – believed to be aged in his late 30s – with gunshot wounds.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Officers from Burwood Police Area Command have established a crime scene and have commenced inquiries with the assistance of a number of specialist units.
As inquiries continue, police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward and contact Burwood Police or Crime Stoppers.
The incident is believed to be targeted.
