Appeal after suspicious house fire at Parkes, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance following a suspicious house fire in state’s Central West last month.

About 1am on Sunday 28 November 2021, emergency services were called to Moor Street, Parkes, following reports a house was well alight.

NSW Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the blaze and the house was completely destroyed.

No one was home at the time, and no one was injured.

Officers attached to Central West Police District established a crime scene and commenced and investigation.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to the man in the vicinity of Moor Street and businesses in Bogan and Grenfell Streets.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 185cm tall with short dark hair. At the time he was wearing a black jumper and trackpants.

Police are treating the fire as suspicious and are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed suspicious activity to come forward.
