Appeal for information after woman injured – Guildford West

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into a crash involving a mobility scooter and a truck in Sydney’s west.

About 10.50am today (Saturday 1 April 2023), emergency services were called to Fairfield Road, Guildford West, following reports a woman on a mobility scooter had been injured after being struck by a Isuzu flatbed tow truck while on the roadway.

The woman – believed to be in her 70s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead hospital in serious but stable condition.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command spoke with the driver of the truck, a 58-year year old man, who has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for anyone with dashcam vision in the area at the time or any further information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
