Appeal for witnesses – Slacks Creek traffic crash

Police investigating a crash involving a cyclist and car at Slacks Creek yesterday are appealing for witnesses.

Around 7.45am on Wednesday January 23 a collision occurred between a pushbike and silver 2013 Mazda 3 sedan on Nujooloo Road, outside the bus terminal and approximately 25 metres from Lognalea Road.

The 18-year-old male cyclist from Boronia sustained serious back injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

A 28-year-old Sunnybank Hills man, the driver of the Mazda 3, was not physically injured.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or has any dashcam vision to contact them (details below).
