Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage boy missing from the state’s north.
Joseph Usaia, aged 15, was last seen at Redhead, Lake Macquarie on Sunday (13 September 2026).
When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Newcastle City Police District were notified at 1pm on Tuesday (15 September 2026) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police and family hold concerns for Joseph’s welfare.
He is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 185cm tall, of medium build, with short, black hair and brown eyes.
Joseph was last seen wearing black cargo shorts, a Cronulla Sharks NRL t-shirt, black Nike fleece jacket and white Nike Airforce shoes.
He is known to frequent the Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Redfern, Waterloo, Central Station, Parramatta, Mt Druitt, Blacktown, Penrith, Doonside, and Kingswood areas.
