Applications are open for two streams of our Cultural Development Fund

City of Port Phillip
We’re now accepting applications for our Cultural Development Fund – Festivals and Events and Cultural Development Fund – Projects.

Our Cultural Development Fund (CDF) grants program has been developed to support artists, arts and cultural organisations and creative community projects in the City of Port Phillip. The program consists of three streams of funding – festivals and events, key organisations and projects.

Two of these streams – CDF-Festivals and Events and CDF-Projects – are now accepting applications.

CDF – Festivals and Events

These grants aim to encourage and assist not-for-profit organisations and community groups to develop local neighbourhood festivals or events that celebrate our City’s community spirit, identity, arts and culture.

For 2023/24, the CDF – Festivals and Events grants will be divided into two tiers:

  • Tier one: $5,000 to $10,0000 for events with a minimum overall attendance of 250 people.
  • Tier two: Up to $20,000 for events with a minimum overall attendance of 2,000 people.

Applications close 28 August 2023.

Who can apply

All not-for-profit community and cultural organisations are eligible to apply, as long as the festival or event is held in the City of Port Phillip and engages the Port Phillip community.

All applicants should read the 2023/24 criteria and guidelines, available on the CDF – Festivals and Events webpage.
