Applications invited for Administrator of Courts

Applications are being invited for a highly experienced, qualified and motivated person to manage the operations of the Magistrates Court.

The Administrator of Courts will develop, implement and evaluate strategies, systems, legislation, policies and rules of court to achieve business and organisational goals, and meet community expectations.

They will also be required to exercise a range of statutory powers and responsibilities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Court.

The position will play a key leadership role in the implementation of a range of important Court reforms which are currently in various stages of development.

The successful applicant will have:

  • extensive experience in the management of financial, physical and Human Resources;
  • experience in alternative dispute resolution; and
  • strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

The position has become vacant following the departure of the previous Administrator, Ms Penelope Ikedife, who has been appointed as Registrar of the Supreme Court of Tasmania last month.
