“Mr Gilbert, a Worimi man, is a highly experienced Director, having served as Co-Chair of Reconciliation NSW and the Boards of KU Children’s Services and the Aboriginal Housing Office,” Minister Wyatt said.

“He is currently a Senior Researcher at the Jumbunna Institute, University of Technology, Sydney and will bring his own experience as an entrepreneur and business advisor to the IBA Boardroom.

“His passion for Aboriginal culture, traditional knowledge, agriculture and the environment will see him guide business transformation and seize opportunities in the sustainability economy.

“For ILSC, I have reappointed Mr Ah-See, a Wiradjuri man from Central New South Wales, to continue offering his vast experience in private, public and community controlled sectors as well as Commonwealth, State and Local Governments.

“He has represented Indigenous Australians for many years and his ability to communicate at state, national and international levels across a broad range of sectors makes him a great fit for ILSC.

“I have also reappointed Mr Bourchier, to continue providing his governance, media and communications expertise to Outback Stores.

“Having grown up in remote Australia, he knows the significant role stores play within their communities and brings a keen eye for strong governance and structural reforms.

“I would like to extend my congratulations to Mr Gilbert, Mr Ah-See and Mr Bourchier and look forward to many more years of their guidance and commitment to improve the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.”
