Arada, one of the world’s fastest-growing master developers, has received approval from the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure for London Place, a 33- storey residential development in the heart of Campsie’s rapidly evolving town centre.

The decision marks a major milestone for Arada in Australia, showcasing the company’s ambition to play a significant role in the regeneration of Sydney’s inner south-west. London Place is the first of five projects Arada is planning for the area, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to deliver high-quality housing, strengthen local communities and contributing to the continued transformation of one of Sydney’s most vibrant urban districts.

London Place arrives at a defining moment for the suburb. Campsie is undergoing one of the most significant urban transformations in Sydney’s inner south-west, anchored by the imminent opening of Campsie Metro Station. For residents of London Place, Sydney’s CBD will be reachable by metro in under 20 minutes, placing the full range of the city’s employment, cultural and lifestyle assets firmly on the doorstep.

Designed by Woods Bagot, London Place will comprise 156 apartments across 33 storeys, with 18 designated as affordable housing. The unit mix spans two-, three- and four-bedroom residences, including sub-penthouse and penthouse homes on the upper floors.

Residents will have access to a comprehensive level of high-quality amenities, including a lounge, private dining room, music room and gym, alongside a covered BBQ terrace, lap pool, spa, sauna and outdoor seating areas. With a gross development value of $220 million, construction is targeted to commence in the second quarter of 2027, with completion expected by the fourth quarter of 2029.

Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said: “When we look at where to build, we are drawn to places with genuine potential: communities that are on the cusp of something special, where the right investment at the right moment can make a genuine difference. In Campsie, the Metro is coming, a bold town centre vision is in place and the community has real identity and energy.

As our first approved project in Australia, London Place is also the first of five projects we are planning for the region, and together they represent a long-term commitment to this area. We look forward to working closely with the community as we bring these projects to life.”

The City of Canterbury Bankstown’s Campsie Town Centre Master Plan envisions the suburb as a genuine health, lifestyle and cultural destination – with a people-centred Beamish Street, enhanced access to the Cooks River, new civic infrastructure and significant housing and employment growth clustered around the new Metro station.

London Place is directly aligned with that vision, bringing high-quality housing, active ground-floor retail and meaningful public amenities to a location that sits within walking distance of the new metro station, Beamish Street’s dining and retail precinct, Canterbury Hospital and the Cooks River corridor.

Approval for London Place followed the NSW Housing Delivery Authority (HDA)’s recognition of the project as a State Significant Development (SSD), which enables a streamlined pathway through the planning process for major housing projects. Secured concurrently with a rezoning of the site, approval was achieved in under four months, well within the HDA’s benchmark target of 275 days.

Arada entered Australia in 2024 and has since assembled a pipeline of more than 6,000 homes. Globally, Arada has a project pipeline valued at $67 billion and a portfolio of more than 70,000 homes across the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Syria.
