Ararat Rural City Council is stepping up efforts to position the region as a premier destination for remote workers, announcing new promotional partnerships for the Ararat Digital Hub & Co-Working Space.
The state-of-the-art facility will feature in the upcoming Grampians Wimmera Mallee Tourism’s Official Visitor Guide, set for publication by October 2026, alongside new active promotion through the Ararat Visitor Information Centre.
The campaign marks the completion of a key initiative under Council’s Annual Plan, aimed at highlighting the precinct to tourists, corporate travellers, and lifestyle movers looking to blend work and leisure in the region.
Housed within the Federation University campus on Laby Street, the Ararat Jobs and Technology Precinct (AJTP) co-working space provides a modern, flexible office environment within easy walking distance of the CBD, bus routes, and local amenities.
Key Features and Amenities
- Hot desks, fixed electric stand-up desks, and six dedicated quiet workstations.
- Soundproof phone booths for private calls, small meeting rooms, and a larger multi-purpose space seating up to 30 people for group workshops and corporate events.
- High-speed Wi-Fi, presentation and teleconferencing equipment, 3D printers, and office printing hardware.
- Kitchen facilities, espresso machine, communal lounge areas, and ample parking.
The precinct serves a wide demographic, including local remote workers, exam-studying students, business professionals and parents working flexibly. Beyond hot-desking, the broader precinct partnership between Council and Federation University Australia drives innovation and research across key regional industries, including agriculture, health, advanced manufacturing, and the circular economy.
