Architect appointed for $15 million school build at Mount Lawley

  • EIW Architects appointed to major project at Mount Lawley Senior High School
  • Two-storey classroom block will include 20 general learning areas
  • A McGowan Labor Government election commitment 
  • Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery has announced that EIW Architects have been appointed to design an expansion at Mount Lawley Senior High School.

    A two-storey block will be built at a cost of $15 million to provide 20 general classrooms.

    The new block will also include a state-of-the-art digital arts studio, makerspace, staff studies and associated amenities.

    Planning for the multi-million-dollar project is now underway, with completion expected in the first half of 2024.

    The project is a McGowan Labor Government election commitment and will support local jobs.

    As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:

    “I’m pleased to announce that we now have architects on board to design a two-storey classroom block at Mount Lawley Senior High School.

    “The 20 new classrooms and a modern digital arts studio will provide students with brand new learning areas that are equipped with the latest technologies.”

    As stated by Mount Lawley MLA Simon Millman:

    “Mount Lawley Senior High School is a wonderful school that achieves great results.

    “This upgrade will help it continue its success as enrolments grow.

    “This was one of my key election commitments and I am thrilled to see it moving ahead. The future is very bright for Mount Lawley Senior High School.”
