Armed Crime charge three, seize drugs, cash and imitation firearm

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad have this afternoon charged three men and seized drugs, cash and an imitation firearm.

With assistance from Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit, three warrants were executed this morning at addresses in Pakenham and Traralgon (2).

Police subsequently seized what appears to be methylamphetamine, ecstasy and cash from the Pakenham address, what appears to be GHB, methylamphetamine and MDMA tablets from one Traralgon address and small quantities of various drugs and an imitation firearm from the other.

A 23-year-old Pakenham man was charged with traffick ecstasy, traffick methylamphetamine and possess proceeds of crime.

He was bailed to appear Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 7 September.

A 35-year-old Traralgon man was charged with possess GHB, possess methylamphetamine and possess MDMA.

A 22-year-old Traralgon man was charged with possess imitation handgun and possess methylamphetamine.

The duo was bailed to appear at Morwell Magistrates’ Court on 1 August.

Today’s activities form part of the investigation into the non-fatal shooting of a 30-year-old Morwell man on Monday, 20 March.

The investigation remains ongoing.
