Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting in Hillside this morning.
Detectives have been told a man sustained a gunshot wound at an address in Bellevue Boulevard sometime around 9.40am.
The 53-year-old Hillside man has been taken to hospital with what is believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
At this stage the incident is not believed linked to any other incidents police are aware of.
Investigators are also looking into whether the parties involved are known to one another.
