Arrest Made After Stabbing At Murray Bridge

A man has been arrested following a serious assault at Murray Bridge.

Just before 8.30 am on Sunday 14 June, police and paramedics were called to a home in Best Street, Murray Bridge after reports that a man had been stabbed.

A 22-year-old man was transported to hospital in a serious condition.

The alleged suspect, an 18-year-old man from Murray Bridge, was located by patrols nearby and arrested. He was charged with assault causing serious harm and refused bail to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on Monday 15 June.

Murray Bridge detectives and crime scene investigators attended the scene and are investigating the incident.

Police wish to reassure the public that both men were known to each other. No other suspects are being sought in connection with the incident.
