Ashurst advises Barings on acquisition financing for merger of Argentus with Westbridge

Ashurst advised investment manager Barings on the acquisition financing for the merger of Argentus with Westbridge. The parties have agreed not to disclose the terms and conditions of the financing.

Argentus advises and guides clients of all asset classes on the German and European real estate market with regard to sustainable building management. The Düsseldorf-based company has been part of the portfolio of GENUI since 2001 and offers commercial and technical energy management, real estate consulting and, in particular, sustainability management. Westbridge Advisory is based in Frankfurt and specialises in optimising the operating costs of real estate portfolios and in facility and energy management consulting. The company also supports investors and property owners in the operational development and implementation of ESG strategies. The merger creates the leading ESG service provider in the German real estate industry.

Barings is a global real estate investment manager with more than $391bn of assets under management and maintains a strong presence across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Ashurst regularly advises Barings.
