Ashurst advises Bosch on acquisition of Protec Fire and Security Group

Global law firm Ashurst has advised Robert Bosch GmbH, acting through its UK subsidiary Robert Bosch UK Holdings Limited, (“Bosch”) in connection with its acquisition of UK-based fire detection and security technology specialist Protec Fire and Security Group Limited (“Protec”). 

The acquisition also includes Protec’s subsidiaries in the UK, Netherlands and Australia.

Protec is one of the largest system integrators for fire detection and security technology in the UK, with around 1,100 employees and expected sales in FY2021 of £125 million.

Working together with the Bosch Legal team, including Matthias Klatt (Lead Management), Swantje Bhandari (Head of Legal Bosch Building Technologies), Dr. Florian Stark (Labour law) and Jonathan Burton (Head of Legal Bosch UK), the Ashurst team was led by corporate partner James Fletcher, with support from partner Richard de Carle, senior associate Hayley Gow, associate Anxin Hua and solicitor apprentice Sophie Hensher.
