Ashurst Perkins Coie advises Heidi on US$100m Series C financing and US$240 million growth facility 

Global law firm Ashurst Perkins Coie has advised clinical AI company Heidi on its US$340 million funding package, comprising a US$100 million Series C round and a US$240 million growth investment from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund. Blackbird led the Series C financing round, with participation from existing investors including Phoenix Court/LocalGlobe, Point72 and Headline.

Heidi is an Australian-founded clinical AI company. Its platform automates clinical documentation and administrative tasks for clinicians. It supports 2.8 million patient visits each week across 190 countries, and its customers include NHS Midlands, Health New Zealand and Beth Israel Lahey Health. Ashurst Perkins Coie has advised Heidi on a number of transactions including its Series A and Series B financing rounds.

The capital will fund Heidi’s expansion beyond clinical documentation into broader clinical workflow automation, including pre-charting and diagnostic follow-up. The investment values Heidi at above A$1 billion.

The Ashurst Perkins Coie team was led by partner Stuart Dullard, who was assisted on the Series C round by senior associate David Lee and lawyer Connor Shorten (Corporate Transactions). Partner David Dedyo (Corporate Transactions) and associate Nathan Christie (Global Loans & Global Markets) advised on the growth investment from General Catalyst.
