Asphalt night works on Atherton Road, Oakleigh are underway until Friday morning 6 March 2020 (8pm until 6am).
Following the Labour Day holiday on 9 March 2020, Atherton Rd will again be closed on Tuesday 10 March to Friday morning 13 March between 8pm and 6am.
Gates under the shopping centre between Burlington and Portman Streets will be open throughout the night on these dates for buses and vehicles.
Bus companies will have the Atherton Rd/Atkinson St/Hanover St intersection open to the 900 and 903 buses up to 12.30am and reopened at 5am on these dates the asphalting will take place. The same with the Atherton Rd/Warrigal Rd/Jones St intersection for buses turning out of Jones Street onto Warrigal Road.
Detours will be in place to guide traffic and pedestrians around the road closure while these works are underway. These dates were extended due to forecast weather conditions.
