Associated Activities Direction Update, South Australia

The Emergency Management (Activities—Associated Direction No 17) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Activities–Associated Direction No 18) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. This Direction comes into effect at 12.01am on Saturday 29 January 2022.

Key changes include:

Hospitality venues now have a density requirement of 1 person per 2 square metres for indoor dining. Outdoor dining remains at 1 person per 2 square metres and seated consumption also remains.

QR Code ‘Check in’ is no longer required for retail venues, however they remain for defined Public Activities (including hospitality venues, public assemblies, personal care services, high risk settings and health services, transport and fitness venues etc).
