Australian Signals Directorate unveils new facility

Australian Cyber Security Centre

A new facility, located at Majura Park, Canberra, will further boost ASD’s capabilities as Australia’s leading agency for signals intelligence, cyber security and offensive cyber operations, as well as offering unique job opportunities for another generation of cyber experts.

The Minister for Defence the Hon Peter Dutton MP, and Director-General ASD Ms Rachel Noble PSM, toured the new building, where ASD and partner agencies will work together to monitor and respond to threats, and help defend Australia’s critical infrastructure and essential services.

The new facility will centralise ASD’s leading-edge skills and technologies under one roof, while strengthening partnerships across the National Intelligence Community and Australian industry sectors.

This will better enable ASD and its Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) to detect increased threats, disrupt foreign adversaries, and build partnerships with industry and government to address future challenges.

The Majura Park facility will also house personnel from the Australian Defence Force, the Australian Federal Police, the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, Home Affairs and key industry partners, to ensure the best possible intelligence, advice and assistance is available to help all Australians lift their cyber security.
