Tamworth City Library invites the community to an in-conversation event with author John Brogden AM on Thursday, 14 November, as he discusses his book Profiles in Hope.
In this deeply personal work, John Brogden AM addresses the critical issue of suicide, breaking the silence and stigma surrounding mental health. The book features powerful contributions from notable Australians including James Packer, Jacqui Lambie, Tom Boyd, Layne Beachley, Nick Sherry, Preston Campbell, and Ian Thorpe. Their stories of survival, recovery, and hope provide encouragement for those struggling with mental health challenges and support for those who care for them.
John Brogden AM, a former politician and businessman, is also the Honorary President of LifeLine International. His dedication to mental health advocacy stems from his own experience with suicide, which profoundly changed his life and fuelled his commitment to suicide prevention and crisis support.
The event will begin at 5:30pm with refreshments, followed by John’s talk at 6:00pm. The evening will conclude with an audience Q&A and the opportunity to purchase signed copies of Profiles in Hope from Collins Booksellers Tamworth.
