Autumn wild dog and fox control program

With cooler weather just around the corner, it’s time to prepare for autumn pest animal control programs.

In particular, autumn is a crucial time to carry out wild dog and fox control activities.

Strategic fox baiting in Autumn effectively reduces fox numbers as it takes advantage of the fox life cycle and targets young foxes as they disperse and seek new territory.

Juvenile foxes are more mobile as this time of year as they search for new terrain and will establish quickly in vacant territories. For maximum success, baits should be checked and replaced until the baits cease to be taken.

Foxes will often travel along tracks, so strategic placement of baits will increase your effectiveness. As with all pest control, programs should be undertaken on a broad scale level, so talk to your neighbours and get them involved.
