Back to streets of Rosehaven

Elise Archer,Minister for the Arts

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government is proud to again be investing in the hit, Logie-winning ABC comedy series Rosehaven, which began filming season four today.

Through Screen Tasmania, we are investing $500,000 in the production of this new season, leveraging jobs for up to 90 Tasmanian cast and crew members.

This season sees a brand new location for Rosehaven’s famous McCallum Real Estate Office, with the move from the streets of Oatlands to historic Richmond, following its original location in New Norfolk.

Regional impact for Rosehaven has always been important, and this season cameras are expected to roll in and around Hobart, spending more than $2.1 million on Tasmanian crew, actors, businesses and service providers.

This means that across its four seasons, Rosehaven will have filmed for over six months, putting more than $8 million into the pockets of Tasmanians, while developing the skills and experience of our local film industry.

This investment in our film sector and commitment to supporting and growing Tasmania’s cultural and creative industries is about providing value to Tasmanians, and exporting Tasmania’s stories, talent and landscapes to households around the world.

Season four of Rosehaven will air on ABC in 2020.
