Bass Hill man’s $2.1 million Saturday Lotto win goes unnoticed for two weeks

Saturday lotto is proudly played across Australia under the brands Gold Lotto, Lotto, TattsLotto and X Lotto, bringing winning moments to players nationwide.

A Bass Hill man has finally come forward to claim a $2.1 million Saturday Lotto prize two weeks after the draw, admitting he had no idea about the multi-million-dollar win the entire time.

The Sydneysider held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4707 on Saturday 29 August 2026. He took home a total prize of $2,110,193.37.

If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered his ticket to a player card or online account, he would have been alerted to his good fortune much sooner. Instead, we had to wait for him to check his ticket and come forward.

“Seriously?” he laughed when his prize was finally confirmed.

“Oh gosh, that feels great.

“I can’t believe I had no idea this whole time. I initially thought it wasn’t drawn yet.

“The main thing I want to do is turn my house into a home with some renovations.

“This is incredible. I’ve honestly been playing lotteries since you guys started so I’m in a bit of shock.

“Thank you so much!”

The winning entry was purchased at Bass Hill Plaza News, Shop 43 Bass Hill Plaza, 753 Hume Highway, Bass Hill.

Bass Hill Plaza News manager Tony Tran said he was thrilled to sell a division one winning entry.

“It’s amazing! We’re very happy and excited and we’ve been sharing the great news with everyone,” he said.

“Our last winning ticket we sold was a syndicate division one winning entry in 2024, so it was definitely time we had another division one win.

“We’ve set up balloons and will celebrate with champagne. We’re hoping we make more dreams come true for more customers.

“Congratulations to our division one winner and best of luck to everyone else!”
