To celebrate National Recycling Week we have variety of community sessions and events on recycling, reusing and reducing items.
National Recycling Week (13 to 19 November) encourages local businesses, workplaces, schools, community groups and residents to learn how to recycle, reduce and reuse items.
Started by Planet Ark in 1996, National Recycling Week focuses on positive recycling actions that everyone can take.
To celebrate National Recycling Week in Manningham, we have variety of community sessions and events that discuss correct recycling and provide tips on reusing and reducing items. Events include:
- Pop-up stand at the Pines Shopping Centre runs all week. Our friendly staff will be on hand to answer questions and dispel any recycling myths.
- Waste question and answer – in person session – Tuesday 14 November.
- Waste question and answer – online session – Wednesday 15 November.
National Recycling Week is also about raising our awareness of how to recycle better in our communities.
National Recycling Week also supports our local environment towards a sustainable future through our Manningham Climate Emergency Response Plan.
